what is the difference between amateurs and professionals?

AMATEURES----- THESE WERE THE RICH PERSON WHO COULD AFFORD TO PAY IT( CRICKET)  FOR PLEASURE

PROFESSIONAL------ THESE WERE THE POOR WHO PLAYED IT  ( CRICKET) FOR A LIVING .
