What is the difference between antigens and antibodies?

antigens are antibodies producing subs.

An antigen or immunogen is a substance that prompts the generation of antibodies and can cause an immune response.

Antibodies are protien molecules produced by the lymphocytes in our blood are used by the immune system to identify and neutralize foreign objects like bacteria and viruses.

antigens are the proteins found in the membrane of blood ......antibodies are the proteins present in the plasma of blood

antigens are the enzymes or the proteins or any other treated enzyme (either dead or live) or may be foreign enzymes  that when are present in the body stimulates the action of antibodies(present in the blood plasma)which involves the killing of foreign enzymes  and thereby stimulating the immunity .

example: in case of polio, the polio drops that are given are the antigens or the enzymes (foreign or treated enzymes) that stimulate the immunity by produng the action of T - lymphocytes which promotes or help the B - lymphocytes to produce antibodies......thus producing or incresing the immunity...and producing the more action of antibodies so that during the actual disease the body or body cells remain protected.

antigens come from outside in body and antibody is made by our body to oppose the antigen
