What is the difference between ASA and AAS congruence rule?

In ΔABC and ΔXYZ,

∠ B = ∠ Z

BC = XZ (Included side between the two angles)

∠ C = ∠ X

So,by ASA congruence rule, ΔABC  ΔXYZ

In ΔPQR and ΔXYZ,

∠ Q = ∠ Z

∠ R = ∠ X

PQ = YZ (Non-included side between the two angles)

So,by AAS congruence rule, ΔPQR  ΔXYZ

ASA means Angle Side Angle i.e the side should be between the two angles. In the diagram below the side BC is between the two angles B and C

AAS mean Angle Angle Side which means any two angles and the third side. Below the two angles are shown to be equal and the third side. Here the side is not included between the two angles.

Hope this clears your doubt !!
