Conventional:

They have been used from old times and they are the traditional sources of energy.

They cause more pollution and are in limited quantity.

Eg: Coal, Fossil Fuels,Firewood.

Non Conventional:

They are the new sources of energy discovered in the recent times.

They cause comparatively less pollution and are available in a comparatively larger quantity.

Eg: Biogas, Geothermal Energy, etc.
