what is the difference between (i) hertz and decible

(ii)axis and orbit

Hertz is the SI unit of frequency. It is one vibration in one second. Hertz thus measures the frequency of sound or expresses the amount of shrillness of the sound.

Decibel is the one-tenth of the unit loudness of sound called bell. Decibel thus measures how loud the sound is.

Axis is the straight line along which a body rotates and orbit is the path followed by a body rotating around another. Like path along which earth revolves around the sun is its orbit.

 (i) Hertz = Unit per frequency is known as hertz. It is also expressed as Hz.

Decibel = Unit per loudness is known as loudness. It is also expressed as dB.

(ii) Axis = Axis is a straight line through a body or figure that satisfies certain conditions.

Orbit = Orbit is the (usually elliptical) path described by one celestial body in its revolution about another.

{i} Difference between Hertz and decibel::-

Hertz : - Hertz is a unit to measure frequency of sound .

Decibel :- Decibel is a unit to measure loudness (amplitude) of sound .

{ii} Difference between axis and orbit ::-

Axis:-  The axis of a planet is the imaginary pole of a planet in which it rotates. Say for example you have a globe. It is tilted slightly on an angle. That is the axis.

Orbit :- The orbit is the place in which a body revolves around another, like all the planets to the sun, or Luna to Earth, etc.
