What is the difference between Plosmolysis and Deplasmolysis?
Plasmolysis: The plant cell when placed under hypertonic medium, it loses a great amount of water and its cell membrane detaches from the cell wall. The cytoplasm pulls away from the cell wall due to the loss of water through osmosis in a hypertonic solution
Deplasmolysis: It is a reversal of plasmolysis. When the plasmolysed cell is placed under hypotonic medium, it absorbs water and becomes a turgid cell.
