What is the difference between shadows and images?

Dear Student,

Shadow is formed by obstruction of light by an opaque object. One cannot readily identify something by its shadow. For example, some people can make different structures look -alike of animals etc. only by their hands.

Image,on other hand, is a true reflection of body. It is formed by reflection of light rays by an object. You are able to see something only when reflected rays from a body make an image in your eyes.

Hope it is clear!
Cheers!!
