what is the difference between the pitch and least count of an instrument???

Hi Raghav,
Least count of an instrument is the smallest measurement the instrument can measure.
Pitch of the screw is the axial displacement for a complete rotation of the screw.
Least count and pitch are related as:
If n represents the number of division on the circular scale and the pitch of the screw is of m scale division then the least count (L.C.) is given by

Hope this helps,
Good luck.
