What is the function of nuclear membrane, nucleolus, chromatin and nuclear pore in one short sentences ?
- The nuclear membrane encloses the nucleus, separating it from the cytoplasm. It also controls what enters and leaves the nucleus.
- contains all the dna of the cell. this is used as instructions to create the building blocks of the cell(proteins). it is often refered to as the brain of the cell as it controlls what goes on. it is also used for cellular reproduction
Nucleolus
- store the huge DNA in the small nucleus. its wrapped around certain proteins (Histones). these again are rolled together and form a structure called Chromatin.
Chromatin
Chromatins again form Chromosomes - The nuclear pores, serve as the pathways for the exchange of the materials between the nucleus and the cytoplasm.
