what is the important of sanskrit

the importance is to understand the basics of this great ancient language. the religious books of hindu, the common language of saints during ancient period, the language of learning things in ancient time all this is done through a golden language - sanskrit. it is revered as the mother of all languages. however, at present time it is not given so much importance and we all find it difficult to read or write, but their are still teachers, pandits who learn this language.
