what is the relevance of non-conventional sources of energy in a country like india? why do you think so?

Non conventional sources of energy include solar, wind, tidal, geothermal. bio gas etc. They are relevant because :

a. They are inexhaustible and renewable.

b. They are obtained at low cost and can be used to meet the growing needs of population and industrialization.

c. India is blessed with abundance of sunlight, bio mass, wind, water which can serve as alternative to conventional sources of energy.

d. Use of non conventional sources of energy is in tune with objective of sustainable development as it does not  cause environmental hazards.

e. Non conventional sources of energy can certainly ensure security of energy supply to meet our future needs.

1. Minerals are vital for the development & progress of a country.

2. Irrational use may lead to socio-economic problems.

3. minerals are limited in nature.

4. over exploitation of minerals has reduced the amount of minerals.

5. they are non renewable.

6. minerals are the exhaustable resource.

7. they cannot be reproduced or regenerated again & again.

8. minerals are not only for the present generation but we should meet the needs for future generation also so minerals should be conserved

hope it helpz u.. :) :)

  • The growing consumption of energy has resulted in the country becoming increasingly dependent on fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas.
  • Rising prices of oil and gas and their potential shortages have raised uncertainties about the security of energy supply in future, which in turn has serious repercussions on the growth of the national economy.
  • Moreover, increasing use of fossil fuels also causes serious environmentalproblems.
  • Hence, there is a pressing need to use renewable energy sources like solar energy, wind, tide, biomass and energy from waste material.
