What is the significance of india's geographic location?

The indian landmass has a central location between the East and the West Asia.India is a southward extension of the asian continent.The trans indian ocean routes which connect the countries of Europe in the West and the countries of East Asia provide a strategic central location to India.The Deccan Peninsula protrudes into the Indian Ocean thus helping India to establish a close contact with West Asia,Africa and Europe from the western coast and with Southeast and East Asia from the eastern coast.

a) Between the Far East and the Middle East is significant because the Trans-Indian Ocean routes connect the industrially developed countries of Europe in the west and the underdeveloped countries of east Asia . India has an advantageous position being centrally located in South Asia, for doing trade with Australia and

the countries of Africa, the Middle East and the Far East.

b) India 's location is very much significant beacause it is covered by an ocean and seas. It has vast area and can maintain link to the other countries by the sea and air ways.
