WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SPERMATOGENESIS & OOGENESIS?

Spermatogenesis is the process by which sperms are formed from the sperm mother cell in males whereas oogenesis is the process by which ovum is formed from the oogonia in females. Both these process are very important and essential as if these process would not occur in respective individuals , there would be no gametes formation. As a result,  fertilization  would not take place.
