what isbinary fifion of ameba

binary fission is a type of asexual reproduction practiced by unicellular organisms in which the parent cell divides into two daughter cells.

Amoeba reproduces by the process of binary fission. During binary fission, the nucleus of the parent amoeba elongates and divides initially. Then a constriction starts to appear on the cell membrane, then the constriction starts widening and finally divides amoeba into two almost equal halves or daughter cells. The daughter cells are identical to the parent cell.

Binary fission in amoeba

Binary fission is asexual; the organism splits directly into two equal -sized offsprings, each with a copy of the parent 's genetic material. Binary fission is a common type of reproduction in single-celled organisms.

1) Chromsome is replicated
2) The Chromsome Splits into Daughter Strands
3) Cytokinesis splits the Amoeba into two daughters. This process is the cytoplam concaving (pinching) together on the equatorial line
4) Two Amoebas with identical DNA
