What was the corn law? What was its need?

The British government restricted the import of corn. The laws allowing the government to do this were commonly known as the ‘Corn Laws’. Unhappy with high food prices, industrialists and urban dwellers forced the abolition of the Corn Laws.

corn laws are nothing but they are the laws which are made by the govt of america.as corn was their main source of food,their country was not having sufficient amount of food and they are trying to export more no of goods than the required goods to their country.so,the govt had made few laws that it should not export the goods of corn to the other country thansatisfying their needs
