What will happen, if an animal cell is placed in hypertonic solution

When a cell is placed in a hypertonic solution, then water moves out of the cell as a result of exosmosis. So, when an animal cell will be placed in a hypertonic solution then it would lose water and shrink.

when animal cell is kept in hyper tonic solution then the water from the cell  will move out the cell since the concentration of the cell is more then the medium surrounding cell. Therefore, the cell will get shrinked.
