what will happen to a cell if golgi body is removed from it???

Golgi helps in packaging and transport of materials such as proteins, lipids etc from endoplasmic reticulum to other cell organelles. If golgi is removed from the cell, the transport and packaging of materials to different organelles will be affected.

hallo dude i think i can ans ur que...............

the material synthesised near the ER is packaged $ dispatched to various targets inside & outside the cell through the golgi apparatus. its function include the storage, modification,& packaging of products in vesicles. in some cases, complex sugars may be made frm simple sugars in the golgi apparatus. The golgi apparatus is also involved in the formation of lysosomes. All these functions will be disturbed in the cell if there is no Golgi apparatys.

i think the cell may die

the cell wiil burn

lysosomes cannot be synthesized

If the golgi bodies are removed, some of the processes of the cell which are performed by golgi might get affected like transportation and packaging of lipids, proteins but there will be no effect of absence of golgi apparatus on life of cell. It will continue to live.

Golgi is responsible for protein packaging and conjugating and other post translational modification.. there is no possibility of a cell to live except cells like RBC's to function without the Golgi apparatus. even if it lives.. its like a dead cell with no secretions and eventually die within short period

The function of Golgi body is to secrete various harmonies and enzymes. :)

the function of golgi body is packaging and storage. it is also involved in the formation of lysosomes.

no despatching or storing process would take place noww
