What will happen to the naphthalene ball if it is kept in a woolen cloth for some time? Explain.

Naphthalene balls become smaller in size and finally disappear when kept in a woollen cloth.  Naphthalene sublimes and hence it is converted directly into vapour phase from solid phase. These vapours diffuse away without leaving a trace.
