which social group in indian society  is the most vulnerable to poverty and why?

Social groups which are most vulnerable are:

a. The most vulnerable social group are the SC's and ST's who have been the victims of discrimination and injustice  and suffered social exclusion.

b. In rural areas the Worst affected groups are the landless farmers who are poverty stricken who suffer from food and nutrition insecurity as they have no land to depend upon.

c. In urban areas the casual labors who are largely employed in the unorganized sector and do not have job security.

d. Women, elderly people and female infants are systematically denied equal access to resources available to the family

e. Though a lot of schemes have been initiated by the government to eradicate poverty. Poverty continue to exist in our society.

f. It is imperative to empower the weaker section of our society , to eliminate social caste based inequalities which continues to haunt our society, provide job security to these vulnerable groups.
