Evolution takes place due to variations or mutations in the existing organisms. In same way Chickens were also evolved from non-chicken organism. Two non-chicken organisms mate together and produce a zygote with mutation. This mutated zygote give rise to a chicken. So, according to this theory egg came first not chicken.
