Antony refers to Brutus when he says the "choice and master spirita of this age" because Brutus was the most trustworthy friend of caesar. Antony could also be flattering brutus in order to get some time for himself to avenge caesar's death.

He is calling this to CAsca and Brutus as after Caesar they would become the most trusted mans of Rome as they had an  ardent love for Rome picturized by Brutus's speech.

Thumbs up...

Antony is a practical politician . he finds his life in danger and asks conspirators to kill him if they desire so he addressed the conspirators as d noblest and most influential man of d present generation in rome hewould perfer to die ar their hands and lie beside caesar than live for thousand years thus by skilful and pratical politician tht Antony  is, tries to make peace wid conspirators by eulogising (praising) thn therefore  he says " choice and master spirits of this age" to conspirators ......

He is referring to caesar. He is saying that even among the spirits of this age caesar will be a master.

Mark Antony addresses these words to the conspirators who killed Caesar. He says that as they have killed the mighty Caesar, who accomplished many great tasks, and conquered great empires, the conspirators are now responsible for the working of Rome. They have the choice, the power and are the masters of what to do next in Rome. He requests them to kill him too, as he realises no hour is more fit and no place more apt than being killed along with his master and friend, the great Julius Caesar.

Antony calls the conspirators "the choice and master spirits of this age" because after Caesar, the conspirators were the most powerful and their choice and decision will be final. Now whatever the conspirators would decide or choose would prevail as Casear was no more alive

Antony calls the conspirators 'the choice and master spirits of this age' because they had just killed the leader of the Roman Empire. After Caesar's death they have all the power. Moreover he wants to flatter their ego, to pretend that he is not against them.

This address can also be to Julius Caesar. Antony calls Caesar the 'choice and master spirits of this age' because no human being matched him in anyway. he was simply unparalleled in every aspect.

Antony calls Cassius, Brutus and the other conspirators ‘the choice and master spirits of this age’. He does not actually regard them so. He says these words ironically. He seems to mock them, though he pretends to please them. Thumbs up pls .
