why a camel has a padded foot?

camel have padded feet to increase the area of contact on sand... this will decrease the pressure and they are able to walk easily on sand...

Hi,

they do not sink into sand due to greater area of the feet and thus reducing  pressure

Camels have broad, flat, leathery feet with two toes on each foot. When the camel places its foot on the ground the pads spread, preventing the foot from sinking into the sand. When walking, the camel moves both feet on one side of its body, then both feet on the other.

It has large soles on its feet which enable it to walk comfortablyon soft and hot sand.

because the area of padded feet is more and de to which the pressure is less which helps the camel to walk properly on the sand without sinking.
