why are acquired traits not inherited?

Acquired traits are those features an organism gains over the course of its life. These traits are not associated with the genetic code and cannot be inherited by the offspring.

acquired traits are the result of the changes that take place in the habitat of an organism.they do not produce any changes in the re productive cells of the organism .hence they cannot be inherited or passed on to the next generation.

because they are a result of environmental influence on an organism which does make any change in genes or reproductive cell . as they do not make any change in germ cells these are not inherited

acquired traits are the traits that are acquired by a human during its own life.

these changes are not in the genes of a person .therefore they are not inherited

only the changes that occurs in the genes of a person are inherited
