He went there for the final break up of "the domestic body" that was to take place. After recieving a letter from his elder brother, at first sight of the letter, babuli's heart just missed a beat out of anxiety but when he read the letter, he felt ashamed at his ingratitude. He didn't even think of his family once in the pretext of being busy in the city life. The city life made him engrossed in his own work so much that he didn't even care the least for his family. Moreover, when he broke out this deadly news in front of his wife, then he saw her unpurturbed. He felt that all those vows of marriage were fake b'coz his wife promised to be a binding factor in the family.

Babuli visited his native village as some feud had cropped up in his home over the issue of partition. The family property was to be divided among three brothers and Babuli himself was one of the share holder.
