why do we need alternative sources of energy ??/

Alternate systems of energy are necessary because:

  1. The mainstream fossil fuels like coal and petroleum are non renewable so their reserves are ending fast. Soon all the existing reserves will be finished in about next 50 years.
  2. The burning of fossil fuels is polluting the environment.
  3.  The CO2 obtained from burning fossil fuels is leading to greenhouse effect leading to global warming.
  4. Alternate energies do not cause such pollution and are renewable.

We need alternative sources of energy because of the following reasons:-

  • Non-Renewable resources are are not unlimited.
  • With increasing human population at a tremendous rate due to improvement in health care, the demand for all resources is increasing at an exponential rate.
  • This is increasing pressure on current left resources.
