Why does reducing power of trioxide decrease down a group ?

First of all be specific with which group Mohammed. Anyway I guess your question as the reducing power of trioxide of group 15. It decreases down the group, as the size increases the gain of electron is tough because of electron -electron repulsion. As gain of electron needs more energy their electrode potential are high. Higher the oxidation potential less will be the reducing power.

They are weaker reducing agents than alkali metals. Reducing power goes on increasing down the group due to decrease in standard reduction potential.
