Please answer these questions!!! :)

Dear Student,

We are happy to see the interest you are showing towards this section! Thank you for your response. However, due to a paucity of time we will not be able to immediately answer all your queries. We are providing the answer to two of your best questions. The answers to the other questions asked by you are easily available in our lessons.

Q. Why does'nt  the water boil at 100 degree celcius when salt is added to it???

A. When salt is added to water, it boils at higher temperature than 100 degree Celsius because salt act as a non volatile impurity thus increases the boiling temperature of water.

Q. Why does steam cause more severe burns than boiling water ??

A. The latent heat of fusion of steam is more than water as a result it penetrates more in the skin the skin causing more severe burns.

Ans to 1st question - This is because the presence of impurities increases the boiling point of a substance as the impurities may have their own boling points.

Ans to 3rd question-  This is because of steam has got hidden heat .

Ans to question 5th - This is beacuse in gases there is very large intermolecular space and very less intermolecular force of attraction.
