Why hydrogen is collected by downward displacement of water ? Give five reasons?

There are mainly two reasons because of which hydrogen can be collected by the downward displacement of water.
· Firstly,hydrogen has a lower density than water and hence rises to the surface.
· Secondly,hydrogen is not very soluble in water.
