Cells constitute various components of plants and animals. A cell is the smallest unit of life and is capable of all living functions. Cells are the building blocks of life. This is the reason why cells are referred to as the basic structural and functional units of life. All cells vary in their shape, size, and activity they perform. In fact, the shape and size of the cell is related to the specific functions they perform.

each living cell has the capacity to perform certain basic function s that are chatacterrstic of all living forms.there is a division of labour in multicellular organisms such as human being .this means thatdifferent parts of the human body perform different funtion.each cell has got certain specific components within it know as cell organelles .each kind of cell organelles performs a specific function.a cell is able to live and perform all its functions because of these organelles.these organelles together consitude the basic unit called cell

All organisms are made up of cells. Each cell is capable of performing all life performing all life processes like repiration, exercetion, reproduction, etc. This is why cell is called the basic funtional unit of life.

Each cell is accuries its structure and ability to function because of organisation of its membrane and organelles in a specific way. This is why the cell is called the basic structural unit of life.

the cell is called the structural and functional unit of all life because it is the basis to which all the major organs and tissues in the body are made up of.

a group of cells with the same function grouped together makes up a tissue, tissues cone together to form organs, and different organs form a system. without cells, all life would die.
Also,The cell is the structural and functional unit of all known living organisms. It is the smallest unit of an organism that is classified as living, and is sometimes called the building block of life. Some organisms, such as most bacteria, are unicellular (consist of a single cell). Other organisms, such as humans, are multicellular. (Humans have an estimated 100 trillion or 1014 cells; a typical cell size is 10 µm; a typical cell mass is 1 nanogram.) The largest known cell is an ostrich egg. In 1837 before the final cell theory was developed, a Czech Jan Evangelista Purkyně observed small "granules" while looking at the plant tissue through a microscope. The cell theory, first developed in 1839 by Matthias Jakob Schleiden and Theodor Schwann, states that all organisms are composed of one or more cells. All cells come from preexisting cells. Vital functions of an organism occur within cells, and all cells contain the hereditary information necessary for regulating cell functions and for transmitting information to the next generation of cells.

The word cell comes from the Latin cellula, meaning, a small room. The descriptive name for the smallest living biological structure was chosen by Robert Hooke in a book he published in 1665 when he compared the cork cells he saw through his microscope to the small rooms monks lived in.

I hope it helps!

the cell is, thus, a fundamental, structural and functional unit of living organism, just as atom is the fundamental unit in chemical structure. since all the activities of an organism are present in miniature form in each and every cell, it is, therefore, called the basic unit of life.

All the living organism are made up of cell.In unicellular organisms like amoeba, the structure is due to the structure of the single cell.in multicellular organisms like higher plants and animals ,millions of cell combine together to form the structure of an organism.thus every cell is responsible for building the structure of an organism.
All the functions of living organisms is performed by the single cell in unicellular organism .In case of multicellular organisms though functions are performed by different systems, but these functions are the result of the functions performed by each cell present in the system.
Thus we call cell  the structural and functional unit of life.

All living organisms are made up of cells. A single cell may constitute a whole organism as in Amoeba, Paramoecium etc. These organisms are called unicellular organisms. On the other hand, many cells group together in a single body and form various body parts in multicllular organisms such as plants and animals. Each cell performs certain basic functions that are characteristic of all living forms. Due to these reasons, a cell is called structural and functional unit of life.
