why is it easier to open a pen cap with the help of 2 fingers than one finger?

Holding the pen cap with two fingers will let us have better grip on the pencil. So, the frictional force between the surface of our finger and the pen cap will allow us to either pull the cap easily or turn the cap to give the necessary torque to open it.

When we use one finger we need to apply more force as the area in contact is less

whereas when we use two fingers we require less force because area of contact is more

for example it is easy to push a car with the help of another person rather than pushing yourself.
