Why is land considered as an important gift of nature?

Land is the gift of nature; it is natural and prime factor of production. Land the surface of earth has a wider meaning; it includes the resources above and below the surface of the earth. On the lands surface the soil is an agricultural land. Below the surface land is filled with mineral resources, rocks, ground water, etc. and above the surface it offers many water bodies like lakes, seas, oceans etc.
