why is nitrogen important for all living organisms

  • Nitrogen is the basic ingredient of amino acids that make up the protein.
  • Nitrogen is the major component of chlorophyll which takes part in photosynthesis.
  • Nitrogen is the significant component of DNA (nucleic acid) which allows the cells to replicate and grow.
  • To some extent enzymes are also composed of nitrogen.

nitrogen is important because-

1. Proteins are made up partly of Nitrogen. Without Proteins, your cells will lack enough nourishment to repair itself or to build new tissues.

2. Nitric Oxide is made up of Nitrogen. Without Nitric Oxide, your cells will have difficulty communicating with each other.

3. Urea is made up of Nitrogen. Without Urea, you cannot remove damaged and used proteins from your body - and this causes the formation of toxins.

4. Enzymes are partly made up of Nitrogen. Without Enzymes, simple acts, such as food metabolism, would take 200 years to complete.

5. Plants require Nitrogen. When plants don't have nitrogen, they fail and this disrupts the food chain.

Because it is used by plants to make different nutrients such as nitrogen and fats, and we and animals are dependent on plants for food and if plants are not able to make their food which is in the form of different nutrients, we do not get our food and we will die.

nitrogen helps the plants to make their fodd. and as we the humans and animals are dependent on the plants for essential nutrients it is necessary for them to prepare healthy fodd. thus, nitrogen is also important for all living beings
