Subject: Math , asked on 23/5/15

# why is pi equal to 3.14 or 22/7?

cause long time ago when aryabhatta tried to mesure the perimetre of a circle of any size,  the result always used to come around 3.14 or 22/7

• 3
the value of pie is not at all equal to 22/7 but is close to it
• 3

The value of pi is:
3.14159265358979......
The value is so large that it is difficult to perform calculations using the above value. This value is approximate to 22/7 or 3.14.

Because of after dividing the answer will same
So we can say that 22/7 = 3.14
