why rate of reaction doesnot remain constant throughout ?

Rate of reaction depends upon the concentration of the reactant. As the concentration of reactant decreases, the rate also falls. Therefore for reactant the rate of reaction is indicated by negative sign.

   A    B

 - dx/dt  = [A]

for 0 order rxn it is const....but for other rxns it depends on conc of reactant which changes (decreases) as rxn proceed..

As the reactionproceeds towards equilibeium there is change in amount of concentration of reactants hence it affects the rate of the reaction..

Bt this nt applicable to zero order reaction..
