Why the boiling is known as the bulk phenomenon ?

The temperature at which a liquid changes into gas or vapour is known as boiling point. It indicates the strength of intermolecular force of attraction. Greater the intermolecular force of attraction higher will be the boiling point. The boiling point of water is 100 C. It is called a bulk phenomenon because particles inside liquid gains adequate energy to change into vapour state and this happens only at boiling point.

boiling point is a bulk phenomena as it happens from the botton of the container or u can say that it is a bulk phenomena as it is faster

hope it helps!!

This is because water must be given more energy to vaporize and become a gas. This energy is called the heat of vaporization, after the water is in a gas state the energy will then = energy of the water +the energy of the heat of vaporization
