why whole numbers are not called natural numbers? if natural numbers are called whole numbers?

 whole numbers- 0,1,2,3,4,5,.....

natural numbers-1,2,3,4,5,....

so as u can see 0 is not included in natural numbers so every whole number does not belong to natural numbers but all the natural numbers are there in whole numbers.
