Mr. Bramble, was a professional heavy weight boxer. He was a tough sports person, yet a sensitive father who cared most about his son’s education. He like his wife was afraid that the truth about his profession might affect Harold’s education adversely. Thus, Brambles kept the truth from Harold. Though Mr. Bramble was a proud boxer, he was ready to forsake his profession for his son. However, the irony was that on knowing the truth, Harold was happy that it was his father who was Young Porky.

He is Harold's dad. He is a professional boxer. He is known as Porky in the field of boxing. He has got a strong body, boxer's nose & left uppercut which has knocked many boxers. He is proud of his son. He hides his profession for his son academics. He even decides to give up his last fighting for his son. His ambition is to give up boxing and become a coach in boy's school and lead a non-violent life,decent life for the sake of his son.
