As the morning bell rings, the students start moving towards the assembly hall putting an abrupt halt to girls gossiping with friends, finishing homework on the eleventh hour, students loitering around the school, etc. Despite many students entering the hall with full enthusiasm, others enter with hesitation and reluctance. The Morning assembly has always been a session of great boredom for most of the students, yet hardly anyone thinks of bunking it.
School assemblies play a significant role in helping the school to grow and develop more. In most of schools, the assembly starts with a prayer to invokes God’s blessing for the beginning of new glorious day. Students are made to make queues and stand there properly. They are also made to go for physical training at least fifteen minutes twice a week. Exercise is always good for the body and if it is done in the morning then students will stay active for the entire day.
Morning Prayer is an important thing in the curriculum of assembly as it helps to keep the mind stable so that students can concentrate in their studies. To break the monotony of the assembly, school authorities also involve every class to conduct the assembly so that pupils find it interesting to be a part of the session. Students are given the task of reciting poems, performing skits and delivering speeches in the assembly session.
