Dearest Maya,

Hope you are hale and hearty. I was very glad to hear from you the other day. You must be very happy celebrating your monsoon holidays back home. Of course valley people don't have monsoon vacations but I have something very interesting to share with you.

The other day I was about to leave for school when mamma asked me to carry an umbrella. It was cloudy and windy so I did not expect any rainfall. So, in order to avert the burden of carrying an umbrella I rushed out. Suddenly, there was heavy downpour and I got all drenched. It also formed puddles on the way to school. We were five friends who enjoyed the entire journey a lot.
