The Rig Veda ​ is the oldest book in any Indo-European language and contains the earliest form of all Sanskrit mantras that date back to 1500 B.C. - 1000 B.C. It is a collection of hymns or mantras which is the work of many authors or seers called ‘rishis’. The hymns are dedicated to Rigvedic deities. It is a reflection of the Hinduism whose roots could be traced back to the times of Rig Veda.

rigveda is bthe oldest veda it was composed about 3500 years ago. it is divided into '10 mandlas' or books and contained 1028 hymns. these hyms are in praises of different gods such as indra, the god of rain; stoom and war; agni' fire god; varun the sky god and many others. the hyms were composed in vedic sanskrit
