JEE Advanced 2015 is being held on 24th May 2015. If you are among the top 1.5 lakh scorers in the JEE Main 2015, then life is most probably quite interesting for you right now, considering the fact that you get to appear for the JEE Advanced 2015. JEE Advanced is considered not just one of the toughest, but also one of the most well-structured entrance tests in the world.

In order to get candidates well-versed with the top trending topics and difficulty level of the questions in the JEE Advanced exam, we went through the JEE Advanced question paper for 2014 and searched for trends. These trends and preparation tips will be helpful for JEE Advanced 2015.

Maths

Important Topics:

 
Paper 1

> Differential Calculus accounting for 40% of the questions was the most important topic in JEE Advanced Paper 1 2014

> Algebra accounted for 25% of the questions, and was the second most important topic in JEE Advanced 2014

> Integral Calculus and Vectors, each accounted for 10% of the questions.

> TrigonometryTwo Dimensions and Three Dimensions each accounted for 5%

Paper 2

> Algebra accounting for 30% of the questions was the most important topic in JEE Advanced 2014

> Integral Calculus accounted for 25% of the questions, and was the second most important topic in JEE Advanced Paper 2 2014

> Trigonometry accounted for 20% of he questions, Two Dimensions for 15% and Differential Calculus for 10%
 

Difficulty Analysis:

 
Paper 1 > 5% of the questions were Difficult, 40% were Medium and 55% were Easy

Paper 2 >  20% of the questions were Difficult, 55% were Medium and 25% were Easy

Important Topics:

 
Paper 1

> Mechanics accounting for 40% of the questions was the most important topic in JEE Advanced Paper 1 2014

> Electricity & Magnetism accounted for 30% of the questions, and was the second most important topic in JEE Advanced 2014

> Optics and General, each accounted for 10% of the questions.

> Electromagnetic Induction and Thermal Physics accounted for 5% each

Paper 2

> Mechanics accounting for 40% of the questions was the most important topic in JEE Advanced 2014

> Electricity and Magnetism accounted for 25% of the questions, and was the second most important topic in JEE Advanced Paper 2 2014

> Thermal Physics accounted for 20% of he questions.

> Optics and Modern Physics accounted for 10% each.
 

Difficulty Analysis:

 
Paper 1 > 25% of the questions were Difficult and 75% were Medium

Paper 2 > 40% of the questions were Difficult, 55% were Medium and 5% were Easy

 


Chemistry

Important Topics:

 
Paper 1

> Organic Chemistry accounted for 35% of the questions

> Inorganic Chemistry accounted for 30% of the questions in JEE Advanced 2014

Paper 2
