I got height raised = 2.19 cm approx

I got previous height = 4.38 approx

Now can you calculate the rest?

how u got that.

how plz tell i m not getting anything.

Posted by sulaksh(student), on 10/3/10

shabazahmed is right . the ans is 4cm

Here is THE SOLUTION

LET h BE THE RISE IN WATER LEVEL .

AND, VOLUME OF THE SOLID CUBOID = VOLUME OF THE WATER RAISED. THE PORTION OF THE WATER RAISED WILL  BE IN THE SHAPE OF A CYLINDER ITSELF OF HEIGHT h.

  32*22*14 = 22/7 * 28*28 *h

  h  =  4cm
