a family have 7 children( 5 boys and 2 girls).  what is the probability that their 8th child is a girl ?

no.of gals=3

total no. of childrn=8

hence probabily of girl child=3/8

no of boys=5

no of girls=2

p(boy)=5/7

hence probability of girl child=1-5/7

=2/7
