lightning and thunder take place in the sky at the same time and at the same distance from us .but lightning is seen earlier and thunder is heard later. give reason?

absolutely ryt guyzzz......!!!!!!

speed of light izz several times faster than that of sound....

in vaccum....light travels at unbelievably fast speed of 299792458 m/s while...

sound in air travels at a spped of mere 343 m/s....

so due 2 tis the lightening izz seen first as it reaches us a lot earlier than that of thunder....

byeee...!!!!!
