SSLCThe Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination (commonly referred to as SSLC) is a certification obtained by a student on successful completion of the Class X examination conducted by the Karnataka State Board which marks the end of secondary schooling. The performance of students in the SSLC examination conducted by the Karnataka State Board is a key factor in obtaining admission to higher secondary schools of their choice, where acceptance is typically based on the results of the SSLC examination. Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has been conducting Class X SSLC examinations for over 43 years. Over 8 lakh students appeared for the Class X SSLC examinations conducted by the Karnataka State Board in March-April this year (2009). Apart from conducting the SSLC Examination, the Karnataka State Board conducts other exams as well and carries out additional responsibilities such as improving the evaluation system etc. Karnataka State Board is also one of the pioneering boards in India to conduct the supplementary examination for the failed candidates in the month of June in order to enable students to join higher education courses from July..gif){kind=small}
