Science has made very rapid progress and has completely changed our standard of living. Let us study about these in detail.
1. Clothing:
Initially clothes were woven from natural fibres like wool, flax, silk and cotton obtained from plants and animals. Modern science has made a lot of improvement in the texture and quality of these clothes. Some examples of the clothes made through modern scientific methods and their qualities are:

But nowadays, due to new innovations in the field of science, modern utensils are used which are made from metals like copper, iron and aluminum. Alloys like brass, stainless steel, etc. are also used for making various types of utensils. The utensils made from plastics, glass are used for special purposes such as in micro ovens.

3. Buildings:
In early days, man used to live in caves and in hollows of trees to protect himself from bad weather and wild animals. They did not have houses to live in. With the advancement in science, man discovered many things like cement, metals, etc. that are nowadays used to build better houses.
Due to increasing population and less availability of land, multistoried buildings and apartments are being built in cities that provide homes for a large number of people.
These beautifully designed houses that we see around us today are also because of continuous progress in science…
