Gearing up for Asia’s Biggest Olympiad 2009

The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is a registered non-profit organization popularizing Science, Maths and Computer education among school children. Aimed at identifying and nurturing talent in the area of science and encouraging mathematical creativity through problem solving, the Olympiads are hugely popular among the school population.

With the aim to strengthen the knowledge of students’, innate problem solving skills and to identify talent at a young age the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is conducting Asia’s biggest Olympiad 2009. The 12th National Science Olympiad (NSO) and 3rd IMO (International Mathematics Olympiad) will take place on 19th November, 2009 and 10th December, 2009 respectively.  Students from class 2nd to 12th are eligible to appear for the Science and Maths Olympiads. The top 500 All-India ranked students and school toppers from each class will proceed on to the 2nd round. Students will be judged academically at four different levels - within the school, at the city and state level and above all at an All-India level. The students will be suitably awarded medals, books and magazines, cash prizes, computers, laptops, etc. based on their national ranking.
