Democracy without education is meaningless. It is education and enlightenment that lifts a nation to the heights of progress and greatness. Unfortunately, the situation as it obtains in India in respect of education is not only distressing but disgraceful and deplorable. At present about 60% of the people in India are illiterate; they cannot differentiate a buffalo from a black mole. Adult education is needed because it is a powerful auxiliary and an essential incentive to primary education. No programme of compulsory universal education can bear fruit without the active support and co-operation of adults

social education is needed in order to guide in spending their leisure in healthful recreations and useful activities. Lastly, illiteracy and ignorance is a sin; an illiterate adult is a burden on society. A The difficulties have to be overcome either by cleverness, or by fact or by compromise, or may be, by intentional avoidance. Only then we can hope to spread Adult Education. The purpose of all good teaching is to produce changes in human behavior. All adult education teacher must adopt a positive approach; adult education emancipates people from the tyranny of illiteracy.

[1] Some people, in their early age, did not have the chance to get education for different reasons. When they are old if then, they get education and they can discover themselves in a new way.

[2] Learning is a continuous process, and if adult persons have the continued relationship with knowledge is also important.

{3] Some adult much time to take rest but if they are engaged in learning they can also have fun and friends.

{4] If they are busy something creative jobs, they will never feel boring rather they will feel healthier and happier.

We can implement it by making people people aware of it , starting campaigns and doing surveys .
1. in a complex modern democracy, citizens must be knowledgeable.

2. research shows that older people who keep their minds active suffer less dementia and other memory type diseases in old age.

3. in a complex modern economy, workers must be up-to-date on new techniques, and technologies Many people fail to understand that if they don 't make the extra effort, they 'll never be able to amount to much in life. Some however, after spending a lot of their time as kids fooling around, begin to make the effort to improve their status in life. So being well above thirty or even forty years doesn 't matter; anyone can still go back to school to study.

It could be any degree that you want. Having missed out on education when you were yet young, still doing school might not look like a good option. However, there are so many adult education programs around, it would spin you in the head just thinking of it. You don 't have to give up on your dreamsrelated to their job.

i hope that this will smwt help u in ur sppeech...:)

ALL THE VERY BEST!!!

What is adult education? So many adults are returning to the classroom that the term "adult education" has become somewhat confusing. Adult education in the widest sense is any form of learning adults engage in beyond traditional schooling. In the narrowest sense, adult education is about literacy, about adults learning to read the most basic materials. So adult education encompasses everything from basic literacy to personal fulfillment as a lifelong learner, even the attainment of advanced degrees.
Upto the end of World War I, there had been very little progress in the sphere of adult education in India which was confined to night schools in metropolitan cities. However, some of the en- lightened Indian rulers of the princely States of Baroda, Travancore and Mysore had extended financial support to night schools. They also set up rural libraries mostly in the 19th century, and gave them patronage. The national leaders who steered the freedom movement were also concerned with the question of educating the masses as a part of the independence agenda. When the Congress Governments came to power in some provinces in 1937, adult literacy and education got included among the responsibilities of the Government. A series of provincial mass literacy campaigns were launched during 1937-39. But the Congress governments went out of power and the campaigns petered out. A CABE Committee appointed in 1939 on the problem of illiteracy suggested provision of facilities for adult education on the widest scale and introduction of free and compulsory primary education, as complementary activities. Besides, the Committee also suggested supplementation of official efforts by voluntary agencies interested in social amelioration. However, the Sargent Committee (1944) asserted that the State must accept the responsibility for these programmes and solve the problem within 25 years.

Ways to implement it...........

1.  Develop and re-train a global work force using a formal curriculum in corporate-sponsored universities. Formal curriculums are offered by universities who are partnering with corporations to customize management development to cope with various challenges of specific sectors. The educational establishments involved are recognized for their integrity in providing adult students the skills they need for career advancement. Corporate partners also become more successful due to the emergence of quality manpower at a very minimal investment

2.  Provide a career path for certified adult learners from local universities. Motivation is the key to  influence adults less than the age of 40 to complete a career-focussed study to be more efficient in their field of work. Who can refuse a company-sponsored adult education when their promotion is at stake? Local universities have even developed distance or online studies to allow workers to continue learning without sacrificing their job responsibilities. They can progress in their studies at their own pace.

3.  These courses are not limited to academics, but there are also practical applications. An MBA is not the only way to make a person skilful in the chosen trade. Maybe the need for job-specific training that has an equivalent certificate is enough. This is called CEU or Continuing Education Units.

4.  Allow employees to gain individualized certification based on their areas of expertise. In many cases, there’s no necessity in investing a lot of money for corporate educational programs. It is more pleasing for a valuable employee to be encouraged into gaining an individualized certification due to the importance of his or her responsibilities. Professional certificates will also inspire good personnel to take their educational accomplishments to a higher level. Research shows that continuous learning is a great factor for the work force to perform better.

5.  Offer tuition reimbursement as a benefit for continuing education. This is the least you can do to take care of the loyalty of your people who’ve been working with you for at least a year. This is fully taxable and considered a fringe benefit by the IRS. Tuition reimbursement is the most common benefit offered by a company. Entitled employees will have the flexibility in choosing their courses for adult education. They are not limited to partner-universities. They may choose a neighboring school for their convenience in going home or the best university for their continuing degree courses.
