Brief About the Role

Job Description

The Branch Manager shall be a part of the fast growing Direct sales group and shall be accountable for the profitable achievement of sales objectives associated with the assigned market, segment, and sales team management. The Manager shall lead a team of 15+ Field Executives with target of ensuring 60+ meetings per FE with the parents of registered users and converting them into paid customers. The endeavor of the Manager will be ramp up branch operations through multiple expansion initiatives.

The BM is responsible for his/her assigned team’s sales productivity, and directs their effort in order to have the greatest overall impact on company results. The BM manages all aspects of running an efficient sales team, including hiring, supervising, coaching, disciplining, and motivating direct reports sales associates.


Job Responsibilities

  1. Hire & Manage Field Executives, driving and ensuring sales target achievement.

  2. The job requires to supervise and manage sales effort by the team by pro-actively inspecting the sales activity and effort amongst Field Executives and ensuring that the quality and quantity of sales effort meets company expectations.

  3. Monitoring and working on various sales performance metrics with focus on productivity improvement. Responsible for ensuring profitable sales at branch level.

  4. Achievement of the team targets, result orientation, activities and creativity and development of people in the team is the key success area in the job.

  5. Should have handled events, activations, lead generation though field activities (Mall Events, Book Fairs, RWA's etc. in assigned territory) and references.

  6. Hire Vendors and coordinate with them for Home Demo Meetings on a day to day basis.

  7. Coordinates the involvement of sales support personnel, including customer support, service, and management resources, so that team performance objectives and customers’ expectations are met.

  8. Positively impacts the performance of individual sales team members by implementing and managing field support tools, including training programs, productivity initiatives, account and territory planning methodologies, and customer communication tools.

  9. Works with market management to ensure market level strategic and business objectives are met by the sales and team

  10. Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.

  11. Leads field forecasting efforts among the team, ensuring that accurate forecasts are completed on a timely basis.

  12. Pro-actively assesses, clarifies and validates customer requirements and satisfaction by engaging key customer accounts in conjunction with sales personnel. Provides a management level point of contact for key customers. Builds and maintains strong customer relationships for referrals.


Organisational Alignment

  1. Reports to the National Head – Alternate Sales

  2. Directly manages a team of 8-15 FEs

  3. Coordinates company executive involvement with customer management.

  4. Works closely with Customer Service and Field Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction, and high levels of field sales support.

 

Qualification:

 


Qualifications

  1. Three year college degree from an accredited institution; Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent preferred.

  2. Tele calling/Call Center background would be an added advantage.

  3. Minimum 8+ years of sales management experience and at least 3+ Years in handling a Field team of more than 10 Sales Employees.

  4. B2C Experience of 5 plus years preferably in Financial Services (Banking, Credit Cards, Loans, CASA), Education, Insurance, Holiday /Space selling, Concept Selling.

  5. Excellent Communication and Relationship Management Skills.

  6. Ability to understand the local marketplace and adapt to the needs of the market situations from time to time.

  7. A good thinker and a great motivator with an eye for hiring good talent to build up a strong team.


Working Days

6 days working including Saturday and Sunday (Monday fixed off).


Remuneration

Fixed Salary + monthly / quarterly performance linked incentives. Fixed salary will depend on the candidature as well as the current salary of the applicant.
