pls tell me if i have got the concept rite
transcription has 3 steps:
initiation:
the rna polymerase binds at the specific site of the dna known as the promoter
the promoter is identified by an initiation factor called as the sigma factor
the rna polymerase along with the sigma factor bind with the promoter
elongation:
the rna polymerase unzips the dna to form a large loop
the rna polymerase uses ribonucleoside triphosphate as a substrate to polymerise the dna following the rule of complimentarity
the process of polymerisation continuos until the enzyme reaches the terminator gene
termination
the rna polymerase when it polymerase thr coding stand it syntheses rna from 5 prime to 3 prime direction
when the rna polymerase binds with the terminator gene which is facilitated by the rho factor
thr rna polymerase seperates from the dna and the nasant rna falls off

for the formation of the leading strand and the lagging strand RNA primer formed by RNA primase is used rite .?
the only difference is that :
1)lagging strand is of continuos synthesis by lagging strand of discontinuous synthesis
2)leading strand has a polarity of 3
